Finding an ancestor who participated in the Revolution may reveal a goldmine of genealogical information. An overview of the war and important battles will be presented. Researchers will learn about common records and techniques to locate a veteran of the war. Emphasis will be placed on online resources that are available today, including the records of the National Archives. Federal, state, and local resources will also be discussed.
